ECO-RESPONSIBLE ACCOMMODATION

When you choose Le Clos Labottière, you’re choosing eco-responsible accommodation! Sensitive to the need to respect and preserve our environment, I do my utmost, along with my family and friends, to limit/minimize the impact of Le Clos’ activities on the environment: for us, for you and for future generations!

Le Clos is committed to the “Green Key” label, which distinguishes tourist accommodations committed to a voluntary, effective and dynamic environmental approach. The label is awarded annually by an independent jury of experts and professionals from the tourism and environmental sectors. Discover our eco-responsible commitment in our environmental charter!

RAISING AWARENESS AMONG OUR TEAMS AND YOU, OUR CUSTOMERS

In 2023, I personally took a specific training course on the challenges of eco-responsible tourism, environmental preservation and CSR.
The people who prepare and/or maintain the rooms and common areas of the house are made aware of everyday eco-gestures.
We provide our guests with information on the flora and fauna of Bordeaux.
We inform our customers about how to limit their car use: we lend them a free parking space during their stay, and provide information about soft mobility: tramway, bus, Bat3, V3 rental or electric scooters, or the train to discover the Bassin d’Arcachon or the Saint-Emilion vineyards, etc.

PRESERVING WATER RESOURCES AND SAVING ENERGY

We monitor and analyze our water, gas and electricity consumption, with the aim of reducing consumption.
Le Clos’ faucets and showerheads have a maximum flow rate of 8 and 9 liters / mn , so as not to deplete water resources. All Le Clos’ toilets are equipped with dual-flow controls.
Our guests choose when to change their towels.
In terms of lighting, almost all our lighting is LED, providing real energy savings without compromising our guests’ comfort.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

We use no disposable crockery.
There are no mini-format welcome products in the bathrooms, and we have opted for refillable packaging from WhatMatters (EcoCert certified).
We take great care in sorting our waste, including our organic waste, which we deposit in the shared compost bins in the Parc Rivière, not far from the house.
The still and sparkling water available to our guests in their rooms comes in glass jugs, no plastic…

LOOKING AFTER YOUR WELL-BEING

Le Clos Labottière is entirely non-smoking
The pool water is treated with salt, not bromine or chlorine! The pool is covered every evening to limit evaporation and the drop in water temperature.
Le Clos’ garden is maintained without the use of pesticides.
The cleaning products used for rooms, linen and dishes are eco-labeled or eco-certified.
